Auchentoshan 3 Wood
Tried the Auchentoshan Three Wood the other night...I didn't think it really lived up to the good reviews I've read. I found it to be very smooth, however it was very sweet and the caramel taste overwhelmed the other subtle flavors.
I believe that whisky is heavily colored? Does the caramel coloring also impart caramel flavor, or is that flavor a natural result of the aging/woods?
