Contact a few liquor stores to see if there's anyone knowledgeable in scotch who works there and would have an interest in helping out - either by joining your club and at least who can give direction. That person might also be able to pass along your info to his/her regular scotch customers - they may have an interest. Worth a shot, ya never know.
We started a local private scotch club and the one who headed it up was the director of marketing / ****s at our local liquor store. He brought a wealth of knowledge to the table and we've had great gatherings. At our meetings, we'd pick a theme or region and everyone would bring a bottle of scotch. It's a great way to try a variety of different brands without spending a fortune.
We hope you will keep us posted on how it goes and we look forward to hearing your feedback! Best of luck to you.
