Last week I was fortunate enough to attend a class (free!) at the local Total Wine & Liquor hosted by a Glenlivet rep. Following an introduction about single malts vs. blends, the history and whisky-making philosophy of Glenlivet, and how to go about nosing, tasting, etc., attendees were treated to samples of the G12, 15 and 18. (I was disappointed that we didn't get to sample the Nadurra 16 but at a cask strength of 57%, I guess that TW&L didn't want any issues of liability once we all headed out.
Upon leaving we each received a gift box containing two whisky glasses inscribed of course with the Glenlivet logo. Great fun and highly recommended should GL come to your neighborhood.
