cool! the one thing about the yoichi 10 is that it's readily available at my local liquor store, whereas the glenfarclas is not anymore (it was, as were the HP 12 and the caol ila, if i recall correctly--but the selection has been cut back a bit recently!). also, the difference in price for the yoichi is much less radical than it is for the imports (thanks, abenomics!): on those, i'd say the price i found online is about 1/3 less than it is at my local store, on the whole. that's a substantial savings (3 bottles for the price of 2 is nothing to sneer at!)... i may well hold off on the yoichi 10 for the moment, then go for it the next time i'm tempted to go to my old reliable laphroaig QC. if i can swing it financially, i'm starting to consider buying 5 bottles instead of 4, with yoichi the odd man out... but not for long! that would give me 2 of my beloved islays (lagavulin a steal at its price and caol ila), plus the HP 12 (after having enjoyed the HP 18); the springbank; and the glenfarclas: a reasonably diverse array, yet all potentially impressive expressions... ???
