I've still got a bottle of this kicking about and will not be ******* it, i'll be drinking it.
Whilst not the best Ardbeg in the world it's certainly a very good whisky, had any other distillery produced this it would have been one of their outstanding malts, the problem is Ardbeg is just too bloody good at what they do and the bar is already so high that any new release from them has a really tough job.
I presonally really like the Galileo, it offers something different and I'm very glad I've still got one left.
....but yes, it's just won WWA Single Malt of the year, it's Ardbeg, it's limited and it carries as close to an Age Statement as you're going to get from Ardbeg. So no doubt it'll be worth a couple of hundred £'s in the future.
Collectable? All Ardbegs are collectable
just look at the number of 10yos are hoarded based on label variation, it's a cult.
