Excellent ! Thank you for the information.
In 2005 I drove by myself to the distillery arrived just as they were closing for the night, they were so nice and let me take a peak inside and told me what time the tours were the next day. I stayed at a local hotel, with Jack Daniel logos on the tables and could hardly sleep cause I was so excited! I can remember that day so clearly, walking thru the distillery, asking questions, looking at the inside of the barrels and great tour guide in his overalls just made everyone feel at home.
I have been holding onto a bottle to drink on a special occassion. Engagment, grandmother, childhood best friend and even my father's passing and birth of my 1st child and I still cant get myself to open it.
It is signed by Jim Bedford. Pick #L-19, Barrel 5-1894 dated 6-1-05 with a Gold Medal stating "The Celebration 2005". The man told me to hold on to it and dont drink it cause it would be worth hundreds in 10 years or so. So, I bought 4 more for my jack lovers back home. So I bought a smaller bottle and some coke and went back to the hotel, had some dinner and drinks in my room. It was a perfect day!
I never thought there was to be a forum of collectors for bottles. I guess I have to buy the book and check into it some more! Unless someone else would like it and with the money I will take another trip to the distillery for some fun!
