From what I recall, the Ocean was originally going to be
600 bottles released at $90.@. It ended up being fewer
bottles priced at $200.@. K&L in CA (USA) auctioned off
their single bottle allocation for a sale price of $1000. (with
proceeds going to charity, which may account for the high
numbers.)
When first announced, I was interested in a few bottles
at $90. but refused to spend $200. for one bottle. If
you paid $200. for your bottle, my guess is you won't
get much over that for it (especially with ebay US ending
booze sales and the "novelty" factor having waned.) If
you purchased it for less than that or it was a gift you
want to sell, whatever someone offers you will be a good
deal.
An acquaintance (whose opinion I value) sampled the Ocean
and described it as "...a totally average bourbon." That said,
I might still pay $90. for a bottle but probably not more than
that.
