Chill Filtered or Non-Chill Filtered
After a much promised visit to Scotland and a trip to the Edradour distillery, my wife and I are now converted to whisky. Amongst the advice given on the tour was that a good whisky should be a least 10 years old and non-chilled filtered as this retained all the flavourful oils. However, after perusing many different brands of whisky, the bottles that proudly proclame "Non- chill filtered" do not give their age. Whereas those that give an age do not say if they are chill filtered or not. Does anybody know the reason?
