Limited Edition Whisky
I am looking for advice regarding the value of a bottle of Whisky I have had for 3 Years. I do not drink & have no interest in ******* this bottle for the time being, just interested in some expert opinions.
The history of the bottle: Bruichladdich 17 year single malt, number 83 of 230.
These bottles are from 2009 and were specially made and labelled for my Royal Air Force Squadron (230 Sqn hence the 230 numbered bottles) to celebrate the 17 years spent in Northern Ireland before being relocated to the mainland UK.(cannot post photo yet as new to site)
I have enquired with several Whisky specialist shops in near where I live Scotland however have been told that as the bottles do not appear on their database they could not possibly estimate the value although I have had a couple of offers but have told them I do not wish to sell and others have simply advised me to hold on to the bottle for at least another 10-20 years before considering *******.
Thanks in advance.
Your best bet is to hold on to it for another 10-20 years, as you said, assuming you don't end up just opening and enjoying it. How patient are you?
Patience is no problem & there is no danger of me drinking it as I don't drink any alcohol so it will remain safely in its case.
