1932-1945 Case of Haig & Haig
I have a wooden case of 12 bottles of Haig & Haig (all boxed) - attached some pictures. Dated between 1932 and 1945 based on tax seal strips and wording on bottles. Bottles and cartons state: The Finest Blended Scots Whisky, 100% Scotch Whiskies, Content 4/5 Quart, Product of Scotland, Blended and Bottled By Haig & Haig Ltd., Edinburgh, Scotland, 12 Years Old, Alcohol 86.8 Proof. Sole Importers For the United States of America, Somerset Importers Ltd, 9 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, NY.
At the time Somerset Importers was owned by Joseph Kennedy.
All clip-top bottles. Fill levels are between 1/3 and 3/4 - most around 60-70%
Wow, what a find. However, I am surprised on the content level on most of those, that will affect the value. I have one (from the same time period) and thewhiskyexchange.com sells them for around 250-300 or so. They also have ones they are ******* that are half full for about 100-125. I'm not saying you'll get that for each one but it's a starting point!
