25yr Old Distilled in 1988
 

I am looking to see if there will be a 25yr old single malt, distilled in 1988, that will be released this year. I'm looking to get it as a birthday gift for a young Scotch drinker who is turning 25 this year.

I have checked with Bowmore and they are not planning on releasing this vintage.

Does anyone know if one will be released? If so by whom and when.

No distillery advertises before it launches a new age or style whether it's a blend or single malt. I'd suggest that you email all the distilleries and 3rd party bottle [a fearsome task] and ask but I doubt that you'll get many replies.
