Macallan 30 Years Help

Hey Guys,

New to this forum.

I'm looking for about 50 to 100 bottles of Macallan 30 years for a customer of ours in Italy. I've tried a few places online, but they all seem to be out of stock.

Does anyone know where I could get such a quantity of Macllan 30 years?

Any help would be most appreciated.

You talking about fine oak or sherry oak?

I want to work for that company.

How big of a difference is there? I tried the fine oak 12 year and didn't care for it, and so have been wondering if the sherry oak would be worth giving a try.

You cant compare the two. The macallan sherry oak is , in my opinion, the best single malt out there especially the 18 year. I refuse to drink the fine oak. The only fine oak worth giving a try is the 15 year old.

I'll give a sherry oak version a try, but probably a bit younger than the 18. How are the 10 and 12 year versions?

Currently I drink the 10 year old and its very good and very good price.around 40 euro in Cyprus. The 12 yo is more difficult to find , in Cyprus, also very nice.

I believe only the 18 yr is the true sherry oak currently produced:(!
The 25 & 30 version were truly great but they haven't been offered in probably about 10 yrs or more - a scotch drinkers loss!

They are completely different - and from the Fine Oak series, I liked the 15 year the best. :D

I missed a chance to try the 18 a few months back but will keep my eyes out for an opportunity to sample some of the rest of the line, particularly the 15 year, as well as the non-fine oak bottlings.
