Question About A "Silver Stag" Whisky

Hey everyone.
First post here. I'm looking for some information on a whisky that has been in my family for a while. It's currently my Mum's and this is what she said about it.

"Your Great Grandfather bought the Company, J.C. Buchanan and he found or made the recipe for a whiskey and called it Silver Stag. When the company was sold a provision was that they keep the recipe the same, and when they didn't agree to that the whiskey was never made again."

I really don't have a lot of information about it. Whenever I google it, Black & White comes up.
So, if you guys know ANYTHING about it, I'd be HUGELY appreciative!
