Hi, I am very much a rookie when it comes to scotch. I have a bottle of Ambassador Deluxe Scotch, 4/5 quart, 86 proof. The tax label has these numbers: CIN-I-67 and 465759718. It is aged 8 years, and we have had it for about 18 years. Never opened. I am wondering about the quality and possibly the value.

On quality check the cap sealing the bottle, if it doesn't look tampered with and the whisky is still a bright colour then it should be drinkable as sometimes the cap darkens the whisky if the wad inside has been damaged. As to value, I reckon it's more valuable to you as a bottle of whisky as there's very little value to it in an auction. Have a look at the thread below for more info
