Can someone help me date my 1 Gallon Bottle of J&B Rare Scotch?

Hello, I have a 1 Gallon bottle of J&B Rare scotch whisky in a wooden stand with a metal swing. The bottle is sealed and has a NY international tax stamp series 112 on it. The label on the front says 4105J and the label on the back says 4127J. Any one have any specifc details on it? Aside from ebay are there other places to get this to someone who may have more interest in it? I could certainly drink $93 of scotch over the next few months, but feel it would be a waste as I'm more of a Jack Daniels drinker :) http://www.drinksplanet.com/images/f...002_193841.jpg http://www.drinksplanet.com/images/f...013_203228.jpg

Hi there! We can certainly try to have your bottle of J&B dated. Thanks for posting photos :)

thanks. I read something about it being close to 40 years old but I`d hate to just mix it with cola. feels wrong although it may taste great :)

Your bottle of J&B Rare was produced between 1974 and 1987. :)
