Speyside Single Malt - KINGUSSIE, Private Edition

I won this bottle of Whisky in a charity auction, seems really unique with no particular branding. Label states:

Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky, KINGUSSIE aged 11 years, Private Edition. Matured in Hogshead Cask No. 1040. Distilled 11th Sept 1996

The Whisky was bottled by Aceo Limited.

Want to know whether I should drink it or save it if it's rare. Any advice would be much appreciated or where I could find out more about it.

Thanks

Stuart

You do not have a rare bottle. Also, the independent bottler is not a well known bottler such as G&M and Cadenhead and Old Malt Cask. Speyside is one of those austere gentle drams that is pleasant but does not possess complexity. It has a following solely on price. It's not an AH-HA dram. It also goes by the name DRUMGUISH ( Pronounced DRUM-YOO-EESH ). Although it is difficult to find the DRUMGUISH bottlings anymore. Usually they can be found in shops scattered about Scotland, but people don't trip over each other buy the DRUMGUISH or SPEYSIDE.

By the way, SPEYSIDE distillery is located in Kingussie ( Pronounced KING-YOO-SEE )
