Haig Gold Label 70% proof

I have a bottle of Haig Gold Label (Malhinch) which is quite old. It is 70% proof and has a blue stamp on the label with the letters INT inside a blue ring.
I imagine that it was an old export editon and wondered if anyone could shed any light on it.

It's got to be old since bottling below 40% alcohol is no longer allowed, if it is to be called whisky. I forget the date that provision went into effect, off the top of my head, but it wasn't always so, so your bottle obviously dates back. I'm sure one of the other historians posting on the board will provide some info to your bottling.

Thanks Dale!

Neill, we can have your bottle of Haig dated and see if additional info can be obtained, but definitely need you to post pictures. If you need help, let us know. :)
