Glenfiddich Special Old Reserve

I recently received a bottle of Glenfiddich Single Malt Un-blended Special Old Reserve. I am wondering if this is a good type of scotch whisky and maybe a little bit about it. I have also noticed these little white things floating inside the bottle. WHat are those. Thank you for your help. John

Glenfiddich Special Reserve

Our contact at Glenfiddich gave us this information: This will be an old bottling of Glenfiddich Special Reserve bottled anytime prior to 2000, no age statement on the bottle and the white floaters are probably flocculent which should break up if you give the bottle a good shake. The appearance of floculent normally occurs in a bottle if it's kept at low temperatures, if the bottle is really cold warm it up to room temperature.
