W&A Gilbey Glen Spey Bottle
I found an almost empty bottle of scotch whisky at an auction. What makes this interesting is the bottle has a music box in the bottom that plays Auld Ang Syne and makes a little scotsmen dance in the bottom of the bottle when its turned on. Does anyone know what this might be worth? Am I correct in thinking that this bottle is at least 48 years old? G\Send me an e-mail if you can help me out.

Sounds like you're describing Gilbey's Spey Royal Dancing Scot decanter. Diageo's archives tells us that unfortunately they do not have much information on this decanter (although they do have a copy of one in their Gilbey's collection). What they can tell us is that it was part of a series of decanters produced by Beams, the US distributor of Gilbey's Spey Royal Scotch Whisky during the late 1950s and 1960s. Other decanters produced included the boxing elephant and mule, The World Fair, Marina City and the Green Genie. As for value, contact mctears.com or bonhams.com (you'll need to send pix). Let us know what you find out - and- would love for you to post pix here on the Whisky.com Forum. :D

I have a bottle of Gilbey's Spey Royale scotch sealed. The research I have done indicates it may have been bottled in the 1930's. I am not a collector and I am looking for a buyer for this bottle of scotch.
