Black & White

I have an old minature bottle of black and white special blend of buchanans choice old scotch whiskey. I'm not sure of the age but the bottle looks to be very old indeed. The bottle has R909 printed into the bottom of it and it has a clip and wire top which is sealed. It says 70 % proof. Does anyone know how much if anything this is worth?

First thing you need to do is determine age - please post pix!

Well hopefully here are some pics of my recent find....another old bottle of Black & White.....unfortunately v. little of the front label remains, the rear is only attached loosely - but cap seal remains....

Seeing as the collar label references "By Appointment to H. M. the King" - and we haven't had one of those for more than 57 years.....I assume it is close to 60 years old.

OK, I'll see what I can find out. Hopefully we have enough to be able to determine age. Thanks for posting the pix!

Also checked the bottom of the bottle - has a number 'embossed' on the glass; 114.........is that any help?

Luckily the photos were good enough to have your bottle dated. It has been dated between the years 1915 and 1921. As for value, try McTears.com or Bonhams.com Let us know your findings!
