Old Bell's Scotch bottle
I recently unearthed an old bottle of Bell's scotch while cleaning out a relatives house after they had passed. It appears to be in good condition aside from the fact that the label it taped on. It is unopened, and the tax stamp is unbroken. I've been all over the internet and can't seem to find out anything about it. I'd really like to find out how old it is, and along with that, if it's worth anything, or if I should just drink it. If anyone can provide some information, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

What you call the from is actually the back, it looks as if the front label has fallen off at some time. Jojo may be able to help but without the front label it may be difficult, from the cork seal I'd guess that it's pre 1960's

Thanks Blenderm. ;)
jayhutch6279 - We will see if we can have your bottle dated for you. :) |
Thanks for looking into it. :)

Without the front label, the exact age of the bottle could not be determined. However, by using other features seen on your photos, an approximate date could be established - which is - 1940s or '50s. :D
