Whiskey of Ye Monks

I was given an old unopened bottle of Whiskey of Ye Monks. I was told it's about 40 years, old, but there is no year printed on the bottle. I would like to know if the bottle has any value, and if so, where would I be able to sell it?

Most of the whiskeys don’t have the date of bottling on their labels. Only way to find how old your bottle is to post some picture of the bottle here. Then will someone help you to determine the age of the bottle by observing the label and the shape of bottle. You can always sell it on the EBay! But don’t expect that you will get much for it. If it’s true that bottle is 40 years old, you may get all from 30 to 60 USD.

I've posted pictures of the bottle. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

We will see if it's possible to have your bottle of Whisky of Ye Monks dated. For a value, try www.mctears.com or www.bonhams.com ;)

I've seen these jugs before and the usually date from the 70's or early 80's so your info about 40 years would seem to be correct. As to value as a single item not a great deal, possibly about the same as a current standard blend

Diageo tells us that they believe the Ye Monks ceramic decanter/jug was introduced in the 1970s-early 1980s - so your decanter could well be 40 years old. (exactly what blenderm said....:))
