Aberlour Question

Hello to all. I have a question about the value or just any information on a bottle of ABERLOUR a'bunadh Batch 11 that I have been given.

I do enjoy Whisky, but honestly I am more than fine with drinking my Crown Royal. Please don't laugh, but at the age of 31 I really have not been introduced to fine drinks. After suffering many broken noses from hockey I really can't taste much anyway and don't know if I would appreciate the more expensive whisky's.

So if anybody could offer me any information on this I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks for your time.

You have a very common bottle Aberlour. It sells for about 70 dollars. I would just open and enjoy.

It's a very nice non chill filtered, cask strength, Oloroso sherry cask matured, single malt scotch whisky. It's great. Great quality for the money. Each batch is unique, so it may be a bit different than the current offering, which I think is 35.
Open it up and enjoy it!
Try it straight, and than add a bit of water at a time to find the "sweet spot". Many cask strength whiskies open up nicely with a splash of water, but some are perfect at full cask strength. You picked a good one to start your journey.
As an aside insurance will pay for rhinoplasty for patients with significantly deviated septums, trauma, etc. ;)

A'bunadh batch 21 was amazing! Batch 11 should be interesting.

It will be quite different than the Crown, not as smooth, but with a lot more flavor! Add a bit of water and enjoy!:D
