Looks good. Have you tried the new triple wood? I liked it.

i havent...but it sounds interesting. a tasting event would be great, i hesitate to drop $100 or more on a whole bottle unless its a core part of a distillery's line. Rarely find anything like this in bars either, much less a limited edition version i havent tried.

just tried the triple wood...

found a whisky bar in San Francisco that has a good selection of laphroaig. I tried the triple wood. dry, dry dry, and woody, woody, woody. i like my islay a bit richer and more well rounded. glad i didnt buy a bottle. im happy with my 18 yr laph followed by some 10 yr laph cask strength. cant beat that... :-)

It looks like our tastes are close in some areas and I didn't like the triple wood either, but I bet you'd like the Quarter Cask... oh wait, it's in the picture. Five of my favorites in that picture and I could live on those alone with no complaint.
