Help With This Ceramic Bottled Ballantines Whiskey

Hi,

I have been trying to find out some infotmation about this whiskey, but I havent found anything. The bottle has no label with the production year so I don't know which is it. If someone can help me with some information about the manufactoring year and the actual worth of this bottle (it's unopened), I will be very grateful.

This is a standard Ballantine's whisky in a ceramic jug as sold from the 1960's through to the mid 1990's. Looking at the printing I would reckon it dates from around the late 70's to mid 80's, the style of print changed about 4 times over the 40 years it was sold and is a good indication. It should be in an outer blue and cream carton and the jug shoud be sealed with a red plastic embossed seal.

I doubt there's any real value to it as there were many millions sold, just the intrinsic value of the whisky
