Jack Daniels Barrel W/ Hand Signed Check And Old Whiskey Labels

I have recently come across an old barrel with a hand written check and a signature from Mr. Jack Daniels. There are also a bunch of old whiskey labels pasted on the outside of the barrel. Can anyone tell me how much it may be worth?? Thank you.

I don't know if it's worth much, but I'd like to see it.

i have copied your pictures and put this question to the tennessee squire association for an expert opinion!! i can tell you the stories on the bottles but barrels im not sure on !! i thought they had markings on the lids but maybe back then they wernt

yeah ive been researching and im not convinced to be honest im thinking jacks drums have 6 straps around them and there was writing burnt into the drums batch numbers and stuff!!

i may be wrong though so ill wait for an expert answer!!

heres an answer from someone who sounds like he knows what hes on about

real JD item - they were made with a smaller barrel also - repro labels & advertising items... sold in the late early 80's I think..

this answer came from an empioyee from the distillery!

Every Jack Daniel's barrel includes a small “b” in the rivet that holds the bands in place. So, if you’re not sure whether a barrel you’ve found once held Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey, just check for the “b.”

Ok thank you. So basically it was an advertisement from the 80's? Not really worth much if anything I guess.
