Glemorangie Burgundy Wood Finish

The Glenmorangie Burgundy Wood Finish retailed at the distillery for £26.99. While it has stopped production and no longer is available at the distillery, you'll still be able to find it in selected shops until stock sells out.

So, if you're completely unsure of what to do - how about getting another bottle? It's really not that expensive. This way you'll have one to enjoy now and then one to save to see how it increases in value!

10 Year & the Port Finish

The most popular Glenmorangie is the 10 year - Also try their Port finish - it's also pretty popular!

Try the Sherry version. It's a bit lighter than the Port and Burgundy.

My most favorite Single Malt Scotch in the World is the Port Wood finish and I am having a lot of trouble getting my hands on it. If you can find it get it. But from what I know all their wood finishes are good, and they have all been discontinued so whatever ones you can find get.

I really don't like being the bearer of bad news, but the Glenmorangie Port Wood has been replaced by Quinta Ruban. Sadly I never got the opportunity to try the Port Wood and I have heard by many how great it is....I have tried the Quinta Ruban and thoroughly enjoyed it. I love the whole Glenmorangie line!

You are right it is very bad news, but luckily this is not the first time I am hearing this. You mentioned it to me a week or two ago in another thread on a very similar subject. I do appreciate your thoroughness. I have yet to try the Quinta Ruban, I have heard it is very different. I am in the process of collecting a list of Port Wood Finishes to try so I can find one I like. I don't mind going through a lot to find one I really like. Searching is all the fun.

Thank you for the link.

No problem - happy to help, but wish I had better news to share. Also, I just still working on that "new" Macallan line-up. I haven't seen or read anything about this, but will definitely find out! Stay tuned....

Nobody mentioned Nectar D'or, their Sauternes finish expression which is delicious:D Burgundy finish is available from many wine merchants... but not from whisky retailers. Thats the case in Edinburgh anyway.
