1958 Haig & Haig?

Hi,

I recently found this bottle of Haig & Haig, presumably from 1958 since every other single malt in the same box was a '58, and am wondering how to get a positive date and estimated value. I uploaded a photo gallery at http://gallery.me.com/mdelange#100136 but here's one photo...

Thanks.

We will see if we can have your bottle dated. :)

Thanks, Jojo. I see my photo didn't show up. Is there a way to upload photos rather than link to them?

How to Post Photos / Images on Whisky.com

Try this:

Click on Reply and then look for the paper clip icon (to the right of the smiley face). Click on it - a new window will open which gives you the option to browse your computer for your photo. Once you do that and Upload - close that window. If your photo does not attach, that means it's too big, so re-size and try again. Once you're set and have closed out of that window, you'll be back to the main page (message body) with your question or details.

Click on the paper clip icon again and it might say Insert Attachments" or it may just show numbers - go ahead and either click on Insert Attachments or just click on the numbers and it will insert into your message. You won't actually see the photo until you either preview it - look to bottom of the body of your thread, below the icons and you'll see a button to either Submit New Thread or to Preview Post. Once you click on either of these, you will see your photos.

Please give it a try and let me know how it goes.

Thanks for the photo - we'll see if we can have it dated for you!

By 1958, Haig bottles should also have featured the word “Dimple” or “Pinch.” What this means is that your bottle is an earlier bottle, from the 1940s. The Diageo Archive Department found advertisements featuring this bottle design from both 1945 and 1948. :D
