Old Parr

My father-in-law has found a couple of bottles of "Grand Old Parr De Luxe" it states it is "70 percent proof" it doesn't state an age on the bottles but it instead it says "Real Antique and Rare Old" the bottle sizes are "26 2/3 floz", they are still in the original boxes with the original printed greese proof paper, both in nice condition.

He remembers recieving them about 15 years ago, as part payment for some work, the rummour at the time was the bottles where part of a consignment bought when the couple he worked for where married, but that would work out to be about 1913  but we have no proof of this.

Sorry for the quality of the photos my camera is having a hissy fit.

Grand Old Parr

We will see if we can have your bottle of Old Parr dated for you!

I am going to take a stab and say that bottle is over 35 years old, but not sure exactly. I don't know how long Parr used that label, so that makes it really quite difficult.

Old Parr bottle from 1960s

Based on the label design and the closure being used, your bottle of Old Parr has been dated to be from the 1960s. :)
