10 yearolds or younger!

Im a serious drinker and committed to old world wine and old world scotch. For generations my family has been blessed with this pleasure.
now lets take a step back.
i know my drink. and my palate says bring me 10 year olds only or younger ONLY!
okay, okay, i get it. nice mature oak and this and that. im not buying. this is masking and stream lining scotch untill it looses its backbone and slappiness and genuine signature of creator.
REAL SCOTCH SIGNATURE, lies in its youth stages. Can be accurately appreciated and feel alive!
Yes complex and deep is great but only to gander and glimps at the future time to time, once really appreciated. Just think that old is over rated and gets all the glory mostly.

BUT LIVE in the NOW is my view?

Glengoyne 10 Year

Glengoyne 10 year (yes, that's TEN) is one of my favorites!

The Glengoyne: do you mean the Provenance 1996 edition. which was a Ten year old?
If so, i have two empty bottles of that, absoloutly delicious! loved it.

My favourites: Bruickladdich 3D3, Ardbeg 10year and of course, Laphroig 10 year.

I believe mine (Glengoyne) was simply the 10 year old. There are 10 years out there which are good and won't break the bank - thanks for sharing some of your faves with us!

Thanks for your reply. There sure is something to be said about obvious faves versus hidden gems that proove to be great buys and not bank-breakish!

Gonna try more Glengoyne too.

Enjoy
