speyside special reserve 12 year old
 

Hello I was given a bottle of whisky 5 or 6 years ago and would like to know more about it the details of the bottle are below:-
Speyside
Special Reserve
Vintage Edition
12 year old malt

Scotch whisky from the Strathmill Distillery.
No #8 of 264

produced and bottled in scotland for mwbh bottling co. Ltd.

The rear label says :

uisge beatha

The bottling is a special commemorative bottling to record the great whisky swindle of the 1990's.

Your bottle is just one of 264 bottles from a single hogshead of malt distilled in 1988 at the Strathmill distillery.

The cask was sold as an investment by the napier spirit company closed down by the dti in 1996 for misleading the public.

Enjoy it for its own sake or keep it as a memento of the scan that lost investors and credit card companies millions of pounds.
