Plastic
I travel a lot. A lot. Airplanes constantly. With today's security, minimal liquids thru security and such, I am reluctant to carry a "real" bottle with me. Some airlines do have miniatures in glass bottles, most do not. So I am stuck with plastic bottles.
I can't taste any plastic, but it's got to have something to do with the chemical composition to have a malt in a plastic bottle for months. Anyone have knowledge of this? Suggestions? David in Arizona, US |
The plastic is called PET and has been used for the past 30 years and was extensively tested before it was used. I know that whisky that was filled in the late 1980's into PET miniatures was tested a few years ago and there was no difference in the flavour compared to the same whisky in stored in glass miniatures.
