Black & White
We will see if we can have the bottle of Black & White dated for you. For more info on this brand - see: http://whisky.com/brands/blackandwhite.html
Not sure on the other bottle - will see if I can find anything. :D |
dogwoods - this is what we found out.... Your bottle of Black & White has been dated to between 1936 and 1940. Note the unusual age statement of 8 years old and also the fact that a bottle of this age still has its carton which is a great addition in itself - but also means that the bottle is in excellent condition for its age. A very nice example of a Black & White bottle. :D
Buchanan’s Black & White is a blend that evolved out of James Buchanan’s original Buchanan’s Blend and was first introduced to the UK market during the period between 1902 and 1904. The name arose out of popular demand, as people would go into the pub and ask for ‘that black and white whisky’. It’s still available today in some markets and has been recognizable for many decades now because of the use of the two black and white terriers and the brand’s logo. |
