Glen Moray 30 Yr Lim Edition

I have several bottles of 30 yr old Scotch which I used to bring home for my father. Once I told him how much they cost he refuses to drink them so now I need to see how much these bottles are worth and how to sell them. Any advice I can get on the forum would be greatly appreciated.

I have one bottle of 30 year old Glen Moray Limited Edition (6000 bottles) which I bought in around 2004.

I also have two 30yo Glenmorangie Malaga Cask Limtted Edition (2597 bottles) numbered and signed bottles bought last year.

I'm not looking to pimp these off on the list but rather just a little guidance as to how or where to sell them in the US (Phoenix preferrably). I have pictures if anyone wants to see them. Thanks in advance.

Steve

Glen Moray & Glenmorangie

Steve,

I have seen the value of the 30 year old bottle of Glen Moray limited go for anywhere between £145 to £180. I'm not sure on your 30 year old Glenmorangie Malaga Cask Limited Edition....

Glen Moray 30 Year Old Limited Edition

Steve, Here's a bit of information regarding your 30 year old Glen Moray. This comes directly from our contact at the Glen Moray Distillery:

"Glen Moray 30 years old was produced in 2004. We still have a few bottles left here. To my knowledge we haven't shipped any to the USA as it was all bottled in 70cl bottles only so haven't registered this expression with the US authorities.

The majority was available in UK specialist whisky stores and duty free and we have also shipped some to the northern Europe area and Taiwan.

Current retail price at our distillery shop is GBP180. (£180)

Here is what our Head of Whisky Creation says about this expression:

"Probably the most elegant and sophisticated example of Glen Moray ever bottled, this specially selected 30 years old has an amazing finesse, magnificent balance and lingering softness."

As far as where to sell it if you decide to do so - have you thought about listing it on ebay?

What would that bottle of 30yo Glen Moray go for now if in the US? It is not available on any of the normal Whiskey purchase sites?
