I'm not familiar with this one, but can you post a good photo? Also, have you tried locating Corby's?

Park Lane
I too have an old bottle of Park Lane and haven't been able to find out that much about it. I do know it was not sold in the United States .It was bottled and produced in Canada , the bottle i have predates prohibition so any clues or info would be helpful at this point on where to look to find out whom actually makes it.

Park Lane Canadian Whisky
I agree with Peter - for starters, contact Corby's - http://www.corby.ca/ - sign in and look for a Contact Us link.
We're also doing some research for you at this time. In the meantime, if either of you can post photos of your Park Lane Canadian Whisky - please do so! |

Mmmmm, Park Lane
I would love to find a bottle of that again.
Guzzled a bottle once in the early 80's when a driller freind from Alberta brought me a bottle. Still have the empty bottle. I'd love to purchase a full bottle to savor. Brent liberty10 [at] starband [dot] net |
park lane
IMHO the best Canadian Whiskey ever made. Made in Corbyville just off Hwy 37 just north of Belleville and south of Tweed.
I assume they were acquired as they seemed to have disappeared. |

Funny I stumbled on this thread after I recently found my own bottle of Corby Parl Lane Very Special 12yo. Here are some pics,
http://home.cogeco.ca/~4re/whisky.jpg http://home.cogeco.ca/~4re/whisky1.jpg http://home.cogeco.ca/~4re/whisky2.jpg Is it worth anything? Any history? I won't drink it since I'm a bourbon fan but it was a nice find. Thanks, Joe |
AW Park Lane
Park Lane 12 year old blended whiskey. sigh I miss this product. It had a flavour all its own and is sadly missed. Your bottle is sealed and in a box and will not age anymore of course and looks clear and unspoiled. This is a good thing. Looks like they're has been some evaporation but not very much. This is common. As to price around 90.00 USD for a 1957 at auction. However auction and selling are two different things. Auctions depend on interest and selling is setting a fair price to a limited few. If you have a price in mind for your 1969 sealed bottle drop me an email we'll talk.

I stumbled upon this thread researching Corby's. I was given an unopened bottle of Corby's Park Lane 15 Canadian Whisky. The bottle seal is stamped 1951. It is in the original packaging. Is it safe? Smooth? Worth anything? Should I drink it, or sell it? Help!
|
Is it Safe?
Oh! Yes! it is......:) In its original packaging unbroken seal and if it is clear it is as good as the day it was bottled. There may have been alittle evaportation of time but very little. 1951 would have been Corby's Distillery in Corbyville, Ontario, Canada. Sadly it closed not much left of the old plant. Most was taken up by Hiram Walkers Distillery in Walkerville or the other plant in Kelowna British Columbia. But also sadly ParkLane the brand is no longer made. Now as to price around 90-100 USD they will fetch at auction. Or if you really wanna enjoy a treat? Open the bottle and enjoy! ParkLane is a very enjoyable drink and highly recommended.
Cheers!!!! |
Thanks for the info! How would I go about selling this? I'm normally a bourbon drinker, but I might break this open during the Holidays.
|
how to sell
Try to google Whiskey Auctions that will give you sense for location and direction if you go that route. With all the hype of the Scotch find in Antartica there seems to be a buzz of interest in old spirits. If you do deside to open around the holidays have a fire going, festive music and group to try it. You'll love Park Lane to the point you'll cry when its all gone.
Sigh! if I had the budget I'd buy it from you but there may be others here on the site that may wish to aquire the bottle. Cheers! and Enjoy which ever way you go. |
Park Lane Scotch Whisky - RITTER
In the 60's i brought back to the states park lane scotch from newfoundland. I am interested in finding a bottle or more. If i remember correctly, it came in a tan or red bag or box. It was not made in the us at that time. I do remember that it was execptional, even after 50 years!

DrinkUpChumps
I have recently come into possession of a 25oz. bottle of 1942 Corby's Park Lane Canadian Whiskey with Canada excise seal #B7722215 and Liquor Control Board Ontario seal #33052, unopened in original rose felt exterior and gray felt interior box with small gold tassel in good condition. I am quite curious as to the current value of this and would welcome any feedback anyone could provide. After reading all the previous posts I can see that there does not seem to be much info readily available, however since this bottle is from during the WWII era, I was thinking it might have some more significant value attached to it.

Old canadian whiskey
Hello!!! I have three bottles of new, never opened Canadian whiskey :
1. Canadian Club from 1976 1 litre 2. Canadian Club from 1981 1 litre 3. Seagram's V.O. from 1969 946 ml Can someone tell me if these bottles have some value or price what I can take for them. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE |
Cost's
A little education Seagram's V.O. and Canada Club are still produced today. As these are blended whisky's and they Do Not! age in a bottle a bottle in 69, or 76 or 81 still should taste the same as one bottled today. For those diehards out there insist on these older labels than maybe $10 above current retail. Other wise hold on to them in the event they discontinue.(Which is not likely for some time) or crack the seal and enjoy. Some bottles from the forties or back further may get more but it is for the labels and looks of the bottle rather than whats in it.
Hope this helps you. Cheers, Eric |
