Old Parr (100 Anniversary)

Greetings,

I was given a new bottle for my collection and I'm having a hard time finding info on it. It is an Old Parr Superior limited edition 100th Anniversary. Anyone know anything about it? It is in a silver decanter and came with a certificate etc.

Thanks!

Anyone ever seen this bottle or heard of it?

We are waiting on some of our experts to answer our inquiry. The photos appear a little fuzzy and the small print is hard to read.

I believe it was picked up in Venezuela in the recent weeks. On a google search I see something where that bottle was on special display in a store somewhere in the Caribbean Islands. I'm curious whether I should open and share with family and friends or add it to the growing collection. My in-law said it was an extremely rare find and I'm finding that to be the case. Let me know if you want more pictures as the bottle is difficult to photograph due to it being a highly reflective, silver decanter.

If by any chance you can get these pictures a bit more clearer that would be great. In the meantime, we'll see what background info we can dig up. :D

Old Parr Superior 100th Anniversary

Hello, well that bottle was a special edition that was rolled out in some places in Latin America and in Airport Duty Free Stores.
The liquid is the very balanced Old Parr Superior, which compares, in my opinion, favourably vs 18 year old blends (it's deeper than JW Gold, and far, far, superior to Chivas 18).

Though you can get Old Parr Superior, I understand this packaging was very limited one-off.

Thank you for the information! I was told it was a very limited edition by the person who gave it to me. I think this one will have to go to the collection instead of opening for right now. Thanks again!

Thanks. I was wondering what the cost was. This bottle that I have was purchased in Venezuela. I did read on here somewhere that they decided to pull Old Parr from the shelves here in the US due to poor sales. Such a shame.....

I know this is a limited eddition as I work for the company that actually made and decorated these bottles for Diageo
