Jack Daniels Float Recipe

Last week we were at your restaurant at Gaylord's Opryland and had a delicious Jack Daniel's Float. I have been trying to find the recipe without any luck. Most of the recipes I have found have contained club soda, chocolate, etc. I don't believe those ingredients were in the float. Can you share the recipe with me so that I can make these for my family members. We had a wonderful time and a wonderful waitress: Paula...Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe. I have a bottle of Jack Daniel's waiting to be used in this recipe.

Jack Daniel's float

Wanda, our contact at the Jack Daniel's Distillery gave us this information which comes from GM Lance Jay at the Jack Daniel's Saloon:

Thank-you for your recent inquiry into one of our house specialties. If it is the drink I suspect they are looking for this is not as complicated as you think it might be. It is basically a Jack and coke with Island Oasis Ice cream base added. In other words, a coke float with Jack Daniels. As most people do not have access to Island Oasis mix for home use, they can use the following recipe:

Recipe:
10 oz regular coke
1 1/2 oz Jack Daniels (Regular Jack Black is fine no need to use gentlemen or single barrel)
1 large scoop Vanilla Ice cream
Glass: Large enough to hold 16oz

Method:
Blend until soft, the vanilla ice cream, incorporating the Jack Daniels. It should be the consistency of runny pudding.

Then slowly add the coke, remember not to pour too fast otherwise your coke will be flat and will fizz too much.

Top with a dollop of whipped cream (secret ingredient : Add some vanilla extract and sugar to taste to your whipping cream before beating) for a little extra kick float a 1/2 oz of Jack on the top before adding the whipped cream.

Cheers!
