Just Broke My Cherry with Single Malt Scotch!
Hello All!
First time I had a Single Malt Scotch and I'm loving it! I bought a bottle of Highland Park 12 yo because of so many recommendations on the net. All I can say is WOW! The tingling and the layers and layers of of different flavors. :D What is that flavor that I can detect that tastes like bile or puke? Since I'm expanding my field of alcoholism, I need a list of good single malts that represents every section of Scotland so I can get a good handle on them. I am thing about: Laphroaig 10 yo for the Islays. For a blended: Famous Grouse |
Jay - Laphroaig is great but not what you might want to try until you've tried a few other single malts. It cab be a love it or hate it experience with its intensity!
Consider trying Bruichladdich as an islay starter.:) |

I put together a collection of Scotch whiskies, and have thoroughly enjoyed tasting my way around Scotland. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y95...001302159b.jpg |
