Any searches that I did came up empty handed! Having said that the best 'guesstimate' that I found was that it was 'most likely' aged 10 yrs in oak before the port finishing which was again 'guesstimated' at about 2 years.:(

I learned this once from attending a Glenmorangie tasting, but sorry to say I forgot  !! I have reached out to my Glenmorangie contact for some help and should have the info soon. :D

Quinta Ruban is a 12 yo. When I asked if the label reflected this, we found out that Glenmorangie recently enhanced their labeling to help consumer understanding of their EMR range and comply with UK legislation regarding Scotch malt whisky and their labels on Quinta Ruban and other Extra Matured Range bottles by including details about the age and the maturation process. Perhaps TMI, but wanted to share!

Collecting

Would you say this is worth collecting?
How many bottles were produced ?

Quinta Ruban

The EMR line for Glenmorangie are all the traditional base whisky of Glenmo 10yr. They are then aged for an additional 2 yrs in the desired cask. Quinta Ruban = Port cask, Lasanta = Oloroso Sherry Cask & Nectar D'Or = Sauternes

Most likely, no. A ton of this whisky has been produced.

However, if it is your favorite, stock up, because Glenmorangie is known to discontinue great whiskies.
