Whiskey aging

Once a bottle is opened, say Jack Daniels No. 7 is it possible to begin the aging process again in a barrell? Or any Whisky, Scotch, Bourbon?

Enhancing Rum in Oak Barrels

I have 'enhanced" many whiskies in this way using small one litre oak barrels.
