vintage blends

quiet a few years back a friend of mine gave me three bottles of scotch as she was clearing out her parents house - they look to be about 40 years old

1) Haig and Haig Blended Scots Whiskey 4/5 quart; 86.8 proof; imported by Renfield Importers, Newark, NJ; original box, labels, tabs

2) johnnie Walker Black Label; 12 Years Old, 4/5 quart, 86.8 proof,

3)Johnnie Walker, Black Label, Extra Special, 12 Years old, 750 ml; unopened original box

Although I enjoy drinking scotch almost every night, i am not knowledgeable about vintage blends;

here are my questions

are these bottles drinkable? or is it best to sell them or donate them
do they have any historical value for a Scotch Musuem

ie. what is their best use? I hate to open and break their pristine condition

thanks
