Dewars Ancestor 12 Years

I also just acquired a green bottle of Dewars Ancestor 12 Years. My bottle looks a little different then those previously posted. I'm posting pictures but there are engravings in the glass on the bottom of the bottle that my camera can't capture. It reads: SD62 750 ML. Could the 62 be the year it was bottled?

I was hoping someone can help me with the following: Year it was bottled? Current Value? Will it taste good if we drink it? Anything helps. It's a Christmas gift for my husband so I would like to give him some background on it. Please email me at jamietigh@hotmail.com Thanks!

We can try and have it dated for you, but as for value, you'll need to contact a company like mctears.com or bonhams.com. Your Dewar's should be fine to drink, but there is a chance the taste may have changed a bit over the years (depending on how old it is). We suggest you open it, nose it and judge from there.

I contacted both companies and they said it valued at 50-70 Euros. They estimated it was from 1968. I think we will drink this for Christmas!!!! Thanks for all your help.
