Midleton Single Irish Whisky

jimbo - contact mctears.com or bonhams.com I see that McTear's auctioned off a bottle of Midlton in September 2008 for £280.00. This bottle was also drawn from the cask and bottled in 1985. The bottle's serial number was 06735, it was in its orginal presentation box and it was signed by Master Distiller Barry Crockett. Please keep us posted on your findings so we can list here on the Whisky.com Forum.

Midleton 1985 Very Rare Irish Whiskey

I have a bottle of 1985 Very Rare Middleton Irish Whiskey numbered 00384 in the original box and packaging. I am curious as to the value of it and what I would have to do to sell it.
I'm located in South Carolina U.S.A. I can be contacted at Bratman@sc.rr.com
Thank you for any assistance provided
Ed

Nothing to do with the question but a comment that they must have had a gigantic cask to be able to draw over 16 thousand bottles from it. In Scotland we are limited in cask size to 700 litres which, after maturing, normally produces around 250 to 300 bottles. By my calculations to produce this many bottles it would take over 100 barrels [or a vat that would be able to take that many].
