Glenlivet 1946 - 40 year

I received a bottle of 1946 40 yr old glenlivet in a gift set about 10 yrs ago.
I love glenlivet but think this might be too rich for me to drink.
Does anyone have any idea of what this might be worth?

The Glenlivet 1946 - 40 Year

Nice! This particular bottle could fetch up to $7500 at auction - so don't open it! Trying to get more information on what you have, will keep you posted. :D

Glenlivet

Hi

I guess I was having a senior moment. The bottle actually says 1940 and 50 years old. It has a serial number #544.
It is in a brown "velvet" (?) six sided case.
On the outside of the case, in gold letters, it says:

50 years old
Glevlivet
Distlled 1940

I don't know if this changes the info you sent me previously.
