Hi - I can help on the Old Schenley bottle info...I have 6 Pre-Pro bottles of whisky myself, 23 that are Prohibition, and 11 that were Prohibition-distilled. (Technically speaking, a bottle is only considered pre-prohibition if it was bottled before 1920.)

Old Schenley is a 5-yr aged whiskey, so if it was made (distilled) in 1916,
it was bottled in 1921/1922...This explains the Quart-size of the bottle.
(By 1923, Fed Law forbid the prescription of more than 1 Pint, so most prohibition bottles are 1 Pint or less.)

As for valuation, your bottle is in fairly good shape; It has suffered some damage to the tax stamp & front label, but still has a pretty good fill-level (Mid-shoulder).
This would sell for about $400 as is ...With no damage to the label & stamp, it sells for $700-$750 range. (If the fill-level was into the neck, you could add another $150-$200 to this.)

Are you are looking to sell ?!?

    Cheers,
    Walter C Hurst
