Anyone know of a place that has a good Whisky Journal. I am look for a one and Amazon only has one called 33 Drams but get pretty rough reviews about paging bleeding into eaxh other. So I am looking to get a good one. I am not a fan of the phone apps.

I was just looking the other night for one, with no luck. I think I will just stick to my cheap notepad to keep tasting notes!

I found another one on Amazon. I simply use a spreadsheet for my notes, but this one looks interesting with its flavor map:
The Whiskey Journal (http://www.amazon.com/The-Whiskey-Journal-Documenting-Adventures/dp/1482744260/ref=sr_sp-atf_image_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1376009393&sr=8-2&keywords=whisky+journal)

I really like this one but would love to see to the inside pages and then maybe i would order it.
I've created an 8 1/2" x 11" notes page. It has been refined over the years so I think it is pretty good and easy to use. Feel free to email me and I will send you a pdf.

If you don't have a designated journal, I Highly recommend Cato's. One of the hardest things for me to do is come up with tasting and nosing notes on a blank sheet of paper. Having a list of choices helps the less-experienced nose or palate to hone in on specifics. I personally have never kept a whisky journal because I want to second guess myself and seem to draw a blank on what I smell and taste too often. Thanks to Cato's template, I feel inspired to start keeping a journal!
Pardon the rambling, but maybe we can use this thread for unique content recommendations for making your own whisky journal!

That does sound highly worthwhile, although I'll probably only start keeping notes once I get around to doing it on the computer.
