View Full Version : Rookie JD Collector

Hey folks! My name is Mike and I've recently decided, after years of drinking JD, to start a collection of sorts. My home bar is now complete with the exception of special bottles. I have the most recent Scenes of Lynchburg bottle and a Sinatra Select.
I just wanna get my name out here and let you all know if you're interested in parting with anything, I'd like to be in the running. Obviously I'll keep my eye on the forum, too! Here's an early pic of the bar area minus some decorations...

might as well show off the gloss on the bar where the whiskey is consumed!

Hi mate I'm just new myself to collecting whiskeys and I could be wrong.
But I'm pretty sure if you wish to keep the bottles for a long time its best to keep them out of the light in a dark cellar, or I have all mine on a cabinet under my stairs so the light doesn't get to them.

yeah you want to keep whisky out of direct light as much as possible.
Nice Bar though. Looks really good.
Where is the growler from and what in the fridge.

Yeah, the whiskey has been moved to the bottom shelf or into the cabinet. The window is actually block glass and not clear, the glare is deceiving to the actual amount of light that comes through.
The growler is from the Great Lakes brewery in Cleveland, OH.
The fridge is where I keep the beer lol. Sam Adams, Great Lakes, Magic Hat, Old Chub, Coors Light, Busch Light and a few other misc. craft beers is what usual inhabits that thing.
