My wife's grandfather seems to have been a whiskey drinker. The rest of the family doesn't drink so I was recently given access to the old bottles in the basement. These included a couple of bottles of Hennesy and some BPR Rye both from the '50s.
I'm most curious about a bottle of Meadville Rye that was in the stash. I can't find anything online about this brand in the US after prohibition. Could this be a survivor from those times? Please let me know what you think.

I cant tell from the image of the Meadville but is it cloudy?

No, it's not cloudy but the bottle as pictured was dirty. He had about 10 of the BPR rye and this one of Meadville. Also about 8 of the Glen Garry pictured.

I would be very interested in all the bottles as I love must spirits especially the old ones.
The one quart bottle is pre-prohibition 1900 to 1919.

Private Message me and I can help you out, especially if you're looking to sell these. Your Meadville is pre-Prohibition from what I can see, and it can be dated accurately with more information.
