Hi there :-)

I have three unopened miniatures here, but I'm mostly interested in the age and value of the Dewar's White Label bottle (missing part of its label). The Ballantines and Ancestor miniatures were probably bottle in the early 1950s (no date on the tax stamps). I'm not sure how many ML the Dewar's is, but maybe you can use the other bottles for scale. The cap is lined with lead I think-and with a spring cap? I'm thinking 1930s? I don't think the White label blend was introduced until the 20s or so. All three are sealed.

I found them in my mom's basement.

Thanks so much for looking!

Sean

Thanks for the images - we will see if we can have your bottles dated. :) BTW, Dewar’s most famous and enduring product, White Label, was not introduced until approximately 1899.

We need a better (clearer) image of your bottle of Ballantine's. :)

Hi Jojo, here are a couple of close-ups of the Ballantine's. Since I could go out and buy a bottle today, I know it's probably not worth much. But I'm sort of a history nut-and a little paranoid about drinking something I know little about.

Cheers,

Sean

We found out from our contact at Dewar's the Ancestor bottle is c1962 - 1978 and the White Label bottle is probably c1940s. :)

Thank you, Jojo. Do you think it's safe for drinking-even with the lead seal?

Depending on your age, it may not matter. :) I have several crystal decanters with some fine Kentucky bourbon and whiskey. I drink at my own risk, which I do "sometimes".
