I am looking at a farm in Indiana,i am not concerned about the crops, but it would be a major help if yall has any knowledge on the startup costs for onsite distillation, specific government standards and fees

WIRED magazine ran a piece (http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2012/06/st_whiskeyexpert/) a few months back on this very topic.

You might find the FAQ at the TTB (http://www.ttb.gov/spirits/faq.shtml) of some help as well. Check the
"Quick Links" along the right side for Regulations, Permits, Taxes, etc.

Note that I am not involved in any aspect of Distilling but offer the above
in response to your inquiry.
